CA Affinity
offers its residential customers the option of adding account
codes to their phone line.
By simply dialing a two to five digit account code after the
phone number you are calling,
you can keep track of all outgoing long distance calls. Many
of our residential customers use
account codes to monitor any long distance calls their children
or roommates are placing
or to track occasional business calls made from home. You can
choose which type of account
codes to use in your home: validated or non-validated. There
is a nominal charge for each code.
Non-Validated
Codes
You control the account codes exclusively, which gives you the
ability to change or reassign
codes at any time without contacting CA Affinity. To change a code,
the caller simply dials different digits at the end of the called number. Any combination of digits
will work as long as they are
within the specified length. You keep track of the codes that
are assigned.
Validated
Codes
Validated account codes (also referred to as ID codes) provide
for greater security. A caller
must know the pre-assigned code in order to make a call. The
correct validated code must be
entered or the phone call will be denied. These codes can be
used to restrict people living in
your home from making unauthorized calls. Many customers use
this service to prevent their
children from making calls their parents have not approved.
Unlike non-validated codes,
CA Affinity must be notified of additions or deletions to your
selections. Your invoice will show
call activity by account code. At a glance, you can determine
who placed calls, the destination
of the call, time of call, length and cost.
